The people on main street continue to lose jobs while his friends on wall street continue to reel in profits and pay themselves

@sjk5000 i'm an so tired are you right wing, uninformed MORONS. Did you read the stimulus bill? Even a summary? It contains $160 BILLION DOLLARS IN TAX CUTS. Did you read the small business bill? It cuts EIGHT taxes, effective today. This on on top of another EIGHT small business tax cuts. That's SIXTEEN SMALL BUSINESS TAX CUTS. Google it and SHUT THE FUCK UP.

i am not familiar with the small business initiative. i think creating and encouraging are two different words. It is too abstract to say our government is "directly creating jobs" themselves unless they are immediately involved with employment.

Right. What the federal government *can* do is underwrite *loans* to small businesses.
Which is handy since the banks have decided that they don't want to be banks for a little while and aren't "in the mood" to make small business loans.
SBA loans. They work.
