Whoops, good time to update this: this was not a piston failure, but a head gasket failure between cylinders 1 and 2. Internals turned out to be just fine, but I still retired my car after this and am parting it out. Clutch was on its last legs, I discovered! Ceramic 4-puck clutches are DONE after 40k miles...
