"Night and Day" is a popular song by Cole Porter

..... after many requests for listeners to make a video with the small keypad of vanbasco, I decided to make a new copy of this nice jazz standard song, but unfortunately, I notice that the keypad can not see all the notes I played, I don't know why.

You can also visit my other new channel:

There I just start to make some tutorials for Jazz musicians beginners, and more :-)

I take also this opportunity to present the latest update of the piano Kawai ex-pro.

Here is the update of "Kawai EX-Pro" by AcousticsampleS ( http://www.acousticsamples.net ). I think that with this new update, this piano is a real pleasure to play, and as dynamic as sound. I hope you enjoy.

More info about the composer:
Porter was born in Peru, Indiana, the only child of a wealthy Baptist family.[1] His father, Samuel Fenwick Porter, was a druggist by trade; his mother, Kate, was the indulged daughter of James Omar "J.O." Cole, "the richest man in Indiana", a coal and timber speculator who dominated the family.[3] Kate started Porter in musical training at an early age. He learned the violin at age six, the piano at eight, and he wrote his first operetta (with help from his mother) at 10. She falsified his recorded birth year from 1891 to 1893 to make him appear more precocious.[3] His father, who was a shy and unassertive man, played a lesser role in Porter's upbringing, although as an amateur poet he may have influenced his son's gifts for rhyme and meter.

Cole Porter as a Yale College student
J.O. Cole wanted his grandson to become a lawyer, and with that career in mind sent him to Worcester Academy in 1905. He became class valedictorian,[3] and was rewarded by his grandfather with a tour of France, Switzerland and Germany. After this he attended Yale University beginning in 1909, where he was a member of Scroll and Key and Delta Kappa Epsilon (Phi chapter) and sang both in the Yale Glee Club, of which he was elected president his senior year, and in the original line-up of the Whiffenpoofs. While at Yale, he wrote a number of student songs, including the football fight songs "Bulldog Bulldog" and "Bingo Eli Yale" (aka "Bingo, That's The Lingo!") that are still played at Yale today.Porter wrote 300 songs while at Yale. After graduating from Yale, Porter studied at Harvard Law School in 1913 (where he roomed with Dean Acheson). He soon felt that he was not destined to be a lawyer, and, at the suggestion of the dean of the law school, Porter switched to Harvard's music faculty, where he studied harmony and counterpoint with Pietro Yon.
Kate Porter did not object to this move, but it was kept secret from J. O. Cole.
In 1915, Porter's first song on Broadway , "Esmeralda", appeared in the revue Hands Up. The quick success was immediately followed by failure: his first Broadway production, in 1916, See America First, a "patriotic comic opera" modeled on Gilbert and Sullivan, with a book by T. Lawrason Riggs, was a flop, closing after two weeks.

  • you're my favorite piano player.

  • To my taste this Kawai library is one of the best, can be compared to Yamaha c7 (TBO) and Galaxy2

  • @newfolder2net I tried Fazioli - and, unless You buy the biggest version will all mics perspectives, Fazioli sounds quite dull and is very hard to fit in dense mix. Sadly, beacuse it's great piano. But also quite hard to mix (cutting low frequencies also cuts a lot of richness). And this Pleyel sounds rich and not dull at all - it's very playable too and natural. I just had an opportunity to try it and I seriously consider buying it in next year. It beats much more expensive libraries.

  • try FAZIOLI CONCERT GRAND VST

mperfect Samples' FAZIOLI Ebony Concert Grand is the World's Largest* sampled grand piano. Commanding a powerful and magnificent sound, this imposing hand-made Fazioli ten foot Grand Piano was created by the makers of world's most expensive grand pianos, and is considered by many to be the Elite of all grands.

  • Haha to fast for me to follow. darn
