The film is poetry. The full story isn't here, like we're looking at a few shreds of a polaroid. The scraps we have are in perfect detail, but they don't create a picture, and we have to fill it in.

This left me confused and troubled. I'd like to know more about the old man, but perhaps it's right that this is all we get. Sometimes it's good for us to be faced with a mystery, or a with a story that doesn't give us the comfort of an ending.
