Crochet along tutorial for the Grannie Ripple Afghan. Find the pattern on my website: http://bethintx.webs.com/grannieripple.htm Sandie Petit of Crochet Cabana made it available in PDF here: http://www.crochetcabana.com/patterns.htm (scroll down to Elizabeth Ham.) Thanks Sandie! If you have a copy of this pattern from before March 21, 2010...corrections have been made, so you will want to pick up a new copy.

  • for some reason i have 5 peaks and 5 valleys and i am at THE END

  • @Theronee1 Maybe you skipped some chains. That can happen.

  • I'm having problems with crochrting the ends of the granny ripple. I don't know how to keep the stitches even, are they suppose to keep going up in a straight line or go up in

    in a angle. Lumpear1

  • @lumpear1 I'm not sure what you mean. The outside edge will be straight, but the stitches will go up hill.

  • trying this pattern out, looks REALLY nice. I think my tension is too tight because after row 2, it makes row 1 curl extremely bad. Stitch work on row 2 is nice.

anyrate, I find that i cannot, and have never been able to work a stitch into the slipknot, so if you chain 165 instead it will look equally just as even compared to your work, which is awesome :)

  • @Kirlyin true! My slip knot is more like the magic circle.

  • awesome!!!!!! thanks a lot

  • Thank you! I made this for my boyfriend for christmas and he loves it! I used his favorite football team colors!

  • I got three, dont count the loop on the hook when you are counting to 164 I think thats what i did

  • @poohknits05 when you draw through all the loops, be sure to keep your tension while making the second cluster. You could close the cluster with a chain stitch. just draw it up tight so you do not create a chain space.
