We educate inner-city individuals and families toward self-sufficiency through innovative programs founded on the principles of personal responsibility and personal achievement. Our unique approach blends trained mentorship with self-funding programs that enable individuals to transform themselves from poverty to financial success by "paying it forward", thus paving the way for others to succeed, as well.

Our goal is to create a national commitment to end poverty by fostering genuine collaboration among community-based organizations. Step Up's role is to provide the vision, trained mentorship and financial resources needed to enhance and coordinate the services of local agencies.


Step Up is truly a "step up", not a hand out. Through intense focused mentorship, we enable individuals to create immediate and tangible results toward change by expediting resources to the point of need. We require a commitment toward re-payment and co-develop a plan of action tailored to each individual's situation and means. Our innovative programs address five areas of need:

Self Concept, Personal Growth, Mentorship Restorative Justice
Financial skills and Principles of Financial Freedom
Health
Education-Vocation-Entrepreneurship
Housing

We envision the attraction of media publicity, celebrity endorsements, and corporate, government, and individual support on city-by-city basis in an Olympic-style effort that inspires united action of all resources, permanent results and peaceful empowered communities.
