Forests NSW is a public trading enterprise within NSW Department of Primary Industries. They own more than 2 million hectares of native and planted forests across the State. Forests NSW contributes nearly $1 billion to the NSW economy each year, but at what cost?

Forests NSW used to have a policy of logging an area once every 50 years, which obviously gave the trees a chance to recover and grow to a reasonable size, though not as large as the original natives that were left undamaged for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

Forests NSW changed the policy of logging an area to once every 15 years which obviously resulted in smaller trees and gave the environment less time to recover.

Within the last year, Forests NSW changed their policy of logging an area to once every 5 years... This policy was passed to 'save political face' and to meet an industrial contract with a multinational organisation. From an environmental perspective this policy is a natural disaster of epic unsustainable proportions and will probably finish off our native forests and our wild life, altogether.

We are calling on all caring global citizens and all Australian tax payers (this land is your land, this government is your government, these forests are your forests), so take whatever action is necessary to overturn these policies or outcast these contract crazy government officials making such dangerous decisions for short term financial gains at the long term cost and destruction of our native forests and wildlife.

The best way to invest in our forests and future is to plant trees and let them grow, not to bulldoze them down as saplings and sell them for cash, to invest in what, our future?

So who will save our forests and make these ' vandals' accountable, when they make their own laws at the drop of a contract and seem to lack any natural conscience?
