This week's TLDR tackles the issue of the differences in age in Korea, the different ways you should address people of different ages, and the different ways you should act as well. Including some of our mistakes (particularly those involving alcohol), and the question of whether it is possible to ever be friends with someone of a different age.

  • damn it! you made me day dream about Guem Jan Di!!!...

  • heyyy :D i have a question:

would it be very rude to refuse an offer? for example if i said like:" oh, thank you, but i'd rather not drink this, i don't like alcohol"?

  • @hzel011393

yeah korean are strict about honorifics and all.. they even have formal and informal language and if they were close enough then they can call the other person with informal language.

  • u messed up with the oppa :P

  • i found simons shirt!

    buying this :D

  • OMG Guys you are so GREAT, so funny video. Love you.

  • as 4 da younger ones..both guys n gals will be called adik..as 4 me..i refused 2 call some of da older men or younger abang just bcoz dey wanna flirt..young 1s i call by name..older..uncle or pakcik or tok if dey r old enuff 2 b ur grandpa straight away despite their annoyed face..hahahaha

  • actually i think all asians r like this..respecting da elders n etc..4 malays.. abang can mean older brother/da title u call ur bf/hubby despite the age gap whether da wife is older den da hubby so bttr b careful dat as well since some men as old as ur grandpa/uncle will insist on calling him abang instead of da proper title..kakak is older sister/any girl who is older..makcik is aunt..pakcik is uncle..datuk and nenek or oppah is 4 grandpa n grandma but some places tok will do 4 both..
