@4176raven - Blank Check means that Jesus hands you Salvation for free and you just have to cash it in. It is free. However, cashing it in means that you believe in the whole Christian God thing even though your mind says the whole Christian God thing is nonesense.

"I'd want it to be number one.
I don't want to be number two.
Yeah, I don't want to be number four"
So is 3 good?

Yeah, I agree somewhat with TerriHogen1. If Jesus forgives the worst of us, the rest of us have only to forgive him. I believe this is about how we are collectively born into such a staple and mighty roll, and yet we squander our intellect and universal potential on such petty things that only quell our appetite for invention and understanding. Life is blank check to the universe's infinite account, and we're wiping our asses with it.

I think the point is; (and I may be less then correct) The Christian religion teaches that I will be forgiven for any sins that I can honestly regret and understand. Life is a learning process. Jesus will forgive us provided we eventually repent and accept...
Jesus wrote a blank check. Sin, but eventually you will have to justify it?

@aqua1993 In other words, the song may be asking, if someone has faith in universal goodness, why don't they choose to be good?
