Brief explanation of why it collapses:
The domino at the top starts on its own, and triggers some dominos at lower levels. It then stops, but a group of planks at the top remains instable, and few seconds later it starts again, this time triggering a tower demolition system, and causes the whole construction to collapse.

The big question is why the first domino starts at the top ? I think that when i adjisted the red tower (right hand side), i provoked a tiny resonance of the whole construction. And that was enough to cause an unstable plank at the top to fall.
