IN THIS VIDEO, watch as this C-17 is put through its paces in a demonstration over Dover AFB. This particular C-17 is based at Dover and is flown by a crew from the 3rd Airlift Squadron, 436th Airlift Wing. You will notice a bang and fire coming out of one of the engines when he backs up - no worries - it was a compressor stall. Absolutely no damage was done to the engine.

I was there for the last airshow at Dover in 2006 when they had no C-17s.They used a C-5 for a flyby.The Air Force is so in love with the C-17 they pretty much forgot the C-5 exist.

This Monster is just amazing ... This C-17 (7173 512th AW & 436th AW) aka (DOVER) came all the way here ( Dubai ) for the Dubai Airshow ... The Cockpit was just amazing ... Man I love these aircraft from the great US of A ...

NO damage? are you kidding me? A compressor stall/surge is one of the worst things that can happen to a turbofan engine!

When I was in basic in San Antonio Tx, every morning, day and night all you herd was the sounds of either F-15's or C-17's and till this day those sounds never get old :)
