  • oh, ok my bad.

  • Hydrax is a water engine, not just a water shader ;)

You can obtain the water height/normal in a world position and from these informations, build any kind of velocity vector.

Some projects that are using Hydrax as their water engine are simulating water physics with Hydrax itselft: interaction of ships and objets with waves, etc.. :)

  • This is a shader supported simulation of the water surface, not a fluid simulation. so no

  • Impressive...

Just wondering if you can detect the water particle velocities with that software?

Say if I were to put a 3D sphere into the ocean, can it simulate it's flow over time?

Thanks heaps for showing this vid.

    Ryan

  • ok i have a good vid card but what of ram and processing needs?

  • dude, this is awesome work, is this all done under ogre3d engine? and what videocard requirements does this need? best water i've seen so far.
