There are a lot of similarities with Brits. I was talking to someone else, though. They said he has one of the nicest accents ever. I asked if they were talking about the character Sayid or Naveen Andrews.

@SalandFindles You don't really get a typical British accent, they vary a lot from city to city. People from Glasgow sound nothing like people from Manchester who sound nothing like people from London etc.
