Elementary school teacher Jenny Fixman developed a program to teach literacy through song. She visited the Parents TV studio to tell parents how they can use her program.
She probably writes as many songs as she sees fit that helps little children, especially 1st graders. I taught way more than 220 lessons to my 1st graders. And if I had these songs as part of my lessons it would have been much more efficient.
Jenny, 220 songs? It doesn't take that many to teach reading! Simplify and try using Sing, Spell, Read & Write! It works and there are less than 10 songs. In addition learning to read requries a full language arts program, not just phonics.
