wow mine is not as cool as ur's is....and mine funs way slower...how can i get like speacial options that if i press a button i cculd like make it rain on my desktop where do i go to get that stuff

hi i have a resolution probelm in ubuntu 9.04 I have nvidia geforce 9500gt 1gb and widescreen monitor LG 22''. i install the drivers, compiz, and everiyhing wokrs fine. the only problem i have is how to ser 1680x1050 on ubuntu. in setings 1152x864 is max. this low resolution and low sharpnes killing my eyes. my system suports this resolution becouse i use 1680x1050 on windows xp. so if you can please help me i'll do anything i need

u must install avant-window-navigator, it's in repos and have compositing window manager (like compiz).

It's music from YouTube library, you can check artist and song title opening "Statistics & Data" section.

So what if it won't let me enable visual effects in 9.04? Does that mean it doesn't recognize my graphics card or something?

Maybe you haven't installed your graphic card drivers. Try links, which I put into description.
