I *love* this performance, better than many (deservedly) renown ones. She is very faithful to the score (albeit at 0:54 she sings the "ta" Quarter Note in "e il mondo tace" as a D instead of the original C - her only fancy I noticed): pitch, force, tempo, slurs, are exactly as written (no personal cadenzas); all this at once is rare, above all when with such a beautiful voice and sensible expression.

The orchestra's rhythmic articulation is correct here, something not often encountered; thank you, Maestro Gardiner! The singing here is lovely beyond words; I love this artist. You should sample her impeccable Melisande on YouTube if you love that opera as much as I.

Compare to another similar aria writen by JOSEPH MARTIN KRAUS (1756-1792):
Concert aria - " Innocente donzelletta "

She IS the best Susanna. The color and sweetness of the voice are unique, and every emotion is clearly conveyed by it. Lovely actress, too.
