I think otr is best for me because I'm single and no kids and next week or the week after I'll be going to Werner for orientation. By the way I don't want to alarm anyone, but I'm a beginner. Werner will be the first company I'll be working for.

If you get a job that's great because not many people have that luxury right now so stay with it and good luck. Ps watch for red tail lights.

@TheClassyWitch Now thats a great wife. Things got ruff in my profession so I worked hard to get my CDL so I could bring in some money for my family. Being away from my family was difficult and sleeping in a truck is no picnic. My wife gave me nothing but grief. Stand by your man. Im sure he appreciates it.

@barmtrail when it works, it's great. that's usually most of the time. sometimes you will run into bad weather or whatever and the quallcomm won't pick you up for a while on it's gps and then realize that you have moved and will automatically put you on line 4 or something like that. kind of annoying but is fixable via a log correction macro. It only gets confusing if you don't fix it as soon as you can and it can snowball into a zillion line 4's that need fixed.

It's really not too bad. I can get between 600-650 miles in a day on my multi-day loads. The one thing you won't have to worry about is getting busted by the DOT for a log violation.

I am looking to getting back into otr. Is the paperless system really a good system? I will never do a paper log again as long as i live, so if werner's system's is good, i am in.
