@tstruss912 I got hired on at $34 an hour for my first job after school as an Electrical Designer, only an A.S. degree. Now I make more in testing. I'm sorry that you cannot earn a decent living. You should learn electricity, it pays very well.

@Sevenat1blow If you don't have the right to call your boss an asshole, you are not free, in my opinion.

@Sevenat1blow I'm sure there were certain Soviet Commisars who were nice people and well liked by their constituents. This however does not make Soviet State Capitalism justifiable. Anyone with any authority over others must be elected by the workers and subject to immediate recall. Neither Soviet Commisars, nor business owners play by these rules, which is why we must make them accountable to us.

ok, but the fault lies in the society as a whole that produces these behaviours and mentality. If you teach the child the right way to behave they will behave the right way. If you raise them like little monkeys in a zoo guess what... you get a generation of squawking animals.

@Sevenat1blow And now some of the psychopathic elite are talking about $2 per hour wages here....I mean, how much of this shit do you expect us to take?
tstruss912 5 hours ago
@Sevenat1blow If that's capitalism then we want no part of it. It's time for those who work hard to be rewarded. Les Leopold estimates that if we all got an even chunk of the pie that we all produced then the average worker would get $16 per hour more. Well, nobody is asking for that. We understand that investment should be rewarded SOMEWHAT more. But, we can't even get a wage that keeps up with inflation. We can't even get universal healthcare--which would save us 30%!

@Sevenat1blow Also, many of us in the middle and left are tired of the DISTRIBUTION of the pie, not the growth of the pie. If your uncle does well then I'm happy because that might help grow the pie. If, however, he starts making a billion per year, and those below him are still getting the same wage, well, that's bullshit. We all help grow the pie, and yet, the top 0.1% is taking the VAST majority of it. You can call that whatever you want. People won't stand for it anymore.

@Sevenat1blow Well, I'm glad for you and I agree that many rich people are good, decent human beings. However, when I refer to "they" (no antecedent...I know) what I mean is those who DO profit off chaos, exploitation, and other horrors. I don't think you understand how pervasive it is....the Banana Wars were just the beginning of the looting and raping of the third-world last century. War after war was fought in order to steal resources--both covertly and overtly.

The way to think about it is this. The top 1% pay 50% and they think that isn't a fair share. So, logically, you would think they would want the top 1% to play 80% or 100%. But that isn't what they want. They want to take the wealth away from the 1%. But if we took all the wealth from the top 1% you could only run the government for a couple of months. If we take away their wealth, the rest of us would have to make up the difference.
