I think Africans and Africans in the diaspora should unite together! Yes we have different cultures, traditions but that shouldn't stop us from coming together. The main problem is our ignorance we must get rid of self-hatred & ignorance!! That is racist people number one fear is seeing all people of African descent. Africans and Africans in the diaspora should love and respect each other as brothers and sisters. I'm African American just to let you guys know :D peace!

“Africa” is a created term as well. Africa as we know, is historically a diverse area and most would be surprised if they knew the true story!

First off there is no such thing as race. You’re correct. So called “African Americans” think they’re the pinnacle of “African” culture in an effort to find identity. In fact they are American and in effect more Euro than Afro. They learned the game and now they’re going to play it. They have created an identity that they view un-deniable and those who mess that fantasy world up are viewed as counter.

Most African-Americans don't speak any African languages,practice African religions etc. Caribbean & Latin American Blacks are culturally more African than African-Americans. Haitians,Afro-Cubans and Afro-Brazilians can still speak African languages and practice African based religions.

African-American is more accurate than just African. African-American is more fully describing people of largely African ancestory who were born and brought up in the American culture. African-Americans really can't just be called just Africans because we are too far removed from African cultures.

I'm African american and my Ancestors are not just African but also of Irish descent. But i am still black. Africans and African americans both have black in them but african americans are more diverse than africans because of slavery. But there are some parts of africa that are diverse because some countries in africa have more european influence than others which causes a mixture between the races.
