7 minutes of some amazing Martial Arts by my friends in Kerala, South India. It's from a very, very rough video - remember those? filmed by one camera at a time, so picture quality is rough. But you should be able to geta feel for the martial art form itself.
@gbb357 you're absolutely right dude....i bet a 6 yr old shaolin kid could kick any kalari fellow's ass....have you seen how skinny they are lol.....:)

@JJMATHIAS23 come on...those 'guns' (blackpowder musket type) could not hav lasted for long...plus there is something greater than guns ....called tactics/strategy...so still why did the indians fail...there are records that portuguese swordsmen used to defeat these indiand in swordfights regularly.....

@JJMATHIAS23 today the hindus eat meat, at one time they didn't eat meat. Things have changed now, not eating meat actually quietens your mind and increases focus and reduces the passions. Even a lot of shaolin monks don't eat meat.

Kalari TRUTH:
In Sangam, Kalari was not used as a martial act according to Dick Luijendijk, a researcher at the university of Nijmegen. "Kalari" is a centre of learning in Kerala. they taught language, math etc. later on, there were fight schools, thats what "payattu kalari" means.
