  • It is from the film which is actually called Night Bombers and is from the Archive of War series.

    It is sad to see what remains of many of the Fighter Command and Bomber Command stations.

  • I read somewhere that the Lanc Mk2, Hercules radials had better take-off power and higher rate of climb than the Merlins but didn't give the aircraft as high an altitude with a full load.

  • @CashLoh Very true, Although one can see a great Squadron at Elvington, Home to 77 Squadron RAF. The Yorkshire Air Museum. Well worth a visit.
