barkley's kinda hated on AI for his whole career... he got to the finals with the suns, but i think barkley's heart is in philly too and he wants more recognition as a 76er great (which he deserves).

Anyway, one things for sure -- even if AI isn't the same -- if he was on New Orleans hornets right now, they wouldn't be bankrupt... and he would sell tickets for any basement team (and probably any good team) -- probably the dumbest thing an AI hater can say is that he isn't fun to watch.

Barkely knows these dudes personally. He has insight into the game that you and I do not. That's why he's so great on the show. He's also a dynamic personality. But heim and the players that come ointo the studio are always great to see because they add insight to the game. Also they are always great players or used to be when they played. I don't think anyone would wanna hear a retied bench player who played on a not so great team in the studio.

I wonder whether they were making him come off the bench to reinforce the concept of team to him, or whether it was his age and decreasing physical ability? allen iverson, one of the greatest athletic talents I can remember seeing as a little kid, and it's a crying shame the way his career ended up with him playing in Turkey.

All the proof you need is that after the season when this video took place, AI couldn't find a job in the NBA so he had to go to turkey.
