I love how in most of his movies, he's always ridiculed, ignored, and picked on by his own family. . . and the way he deals with all their crap, with kindness, forgiveness and most of all patience. . . gotta love such a personage. :o)

This was the first Fields movie I ever saw. I was always touched by the relationship between father and daughter (Mary Brian). He is a man tormented on all sides, yet retains his dignity. A classic!
