Anthony took part in Equality and Justice Day, one of the biggest LGBT lobby days in NY, where over 1,300 people took part in the powerful day. 300 young people from around the state called on their representatives to pass the Dignity for All Students Act. DASA would prohibit harassment in schools, require reporting and tracking of incidents and mandate training programs for school staff to give them the tools they need to combat harassment.

We need your help! Our senators must act now to show New York's young people that they heard their call for safe schools! Call your senator and ask him/her to tell Majority Leader Joseph Bruno to bring the Dignity for All Students Act for a vote. Go to www.nyclu.org/FindSenator to find your Senator today!

  • Oh please, stiggityone! The NYPD is notorious for disrespecting and harassing gays during PRIDE. They are also notorious for disrespecting blacks all the time. We don't give them our tax money to be treated like crap! They should learn how to do their f*ckin job properly!

  • Right, and when the police intervene to stop this shit and lock up the people that are bullying you...liberal douscebags much like yourself turn on the police. What's the point of even getting involved when the people you try and protect and help don't respect you or back you. Pointless. Let darwinism take over and just clean up the mess afterwards. It's easier, safer, and will protect a hardworking cop from the moronic scrutiny that is pervasive in the media and in many elements of society.
