MvC3 XBL RageQuitMoar vs Qevin Baest (KBeast) casuals Part 1

PLEASE READ. I'm up against one of NorCal's finest C.Viper players (online unfortunately lol). Coincidentally, I met the guy one night at EVO this year. He's not using his main team here (just yet) and in spite of that, I try to put in 100%. I recorded all but 6 of our matches and we played for quite a while. So now I have the devil's work right now of fishing out the good stuff.

You know, I think you can DHC glitch from X-23's super into Hulk's Gamma Crush. I run X-23/Hulk and it seems to work for me quite often.

@KingZeal You see me do gamma quake is because the damage doesn't scale as hard compared to gamma crush. There are a few exceptions (might make a video of it). In short, if you gamma crush after a basic X-23 combo (no mirage feint, just s.L, s.M, s.H, S) how the WXP hits with the assist determines whether gamma crush will scale (774,300) or unscale (945,000). Gamma quake NEVER scales (842,800) and it gives Hulk the option to xfactor or with my team, DHC options. WXP w/o assist = scaled damage.

@KingZeal This is also very team specific. For example, if you're using Jam Session as your assist to start WXP before going into gamma crush, you will always get the unscaled damage. If you use Samurai Edge assist, you'll get the scaled damage. With Amaterasu, it's situational. If WXP hits while the Cold Star is attacking the opponent, the damage will scale (this usually happens from performing WXP early/mid-screen). But if WXP connects after all of Cold Star's hits, damage will NOT scale.

@KingZeal With Ammy, to get the unscaled damage for Gamma Crush, the opponent has to be cornered and WXP done late enough for all of Cold Star to hit. The opponent should look as if they're falling down into WXP instead of WXP rushing to them. I'm glad you brought it up because for the longest I never understood WHY it scaled (and I've been doing this for the longest). If I do an X-23 BnB with mirage feint, I'll go into gamma crush because it usually unscales, but they're likely in the corner.

Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for letting me know. I run X23/Hulk/Iron Man. My combo is usually to bnb into Ankle Slice, XFC, launch, magic series into L Crescent Slice, then immediately call Gamma Wave OTG assist into WXP. Then you have to time it so that you delay a little bit after WXP before DHCing into Gamma Crush. If done right, the damage resets and the Crush will be unscaled.
