  • @hathor100 monoglot Welsh speakers dying in the 1980s. Today, everyone above the age of 5 can speak English in Wales, since the children of the Welsh heartlands where the community and first language is Welsh, all learn english in schools. Today 1/3 of the Welsh are bi-lingual, with that number growing to 1/2 for under 16 year olds and everyone under the age of 16 knows both languages to varying degree's
