Past Times and Pastimes (2009)

From fun fairs to Facebook and outdoor sports to skateboarding, has the way young people from Sutton keep themselves entertained changed with the arrival of 21st century technology and society?
This film was made by students from Wallington High School for Girls as part of Our Moving Histories: Sutton project produced by Chocolate Films in partnership with Sutton Local Studies and Archives Centre. The film includes footage shot by the young people and original archive footage from the Local Studies and Archives Centre. This includes clips from the Boys Brigade sports day c 1949 and Carshalton Carnival 1952- the latter was filmed by Carshalton Ad Astra Cine Club.
