By 1966 Caldin Gill was the only original member left in the Velvelettes, Anette McMillian and Sandra Tille (who would become a Vandella by late 68 or early 69) were the newest members, "These thing's" would be the groups last single altho they recorded for motown till about 1969

Oh no no no..............Diana's version has no Mary and Cindy...............it has Andantes; but then, there were no Supremes with Diana after about 1967.

@Jobeterob Not exactly true, for most of the Diana Ross & The Supremes singles yes, but Mary and Cindy did record album tracks, and the 3 singles with The Temptations

Actually Diana Ross' version is a Supremes song its the very last song she recorded with Mary and Cindy in November 1969

This was recorded as a solo song for Diana - as was "Someday" why would Mary & Cindy be on it? It had nothing to do with being "allowed" some producers preferred The Andantes to Mary & Cindy, and sometimes, like on Love Child, Mary declined the session - thankfully, as The A's were amazing on it. The A's, FYI - were also used as Vandellas, Marvelettes and in 70's Supremes songs - sometimes to fill out the sound, sometimes instead of Mary & Cindy. May & Flo are not on a lot of LP cuts as well.
