Here is a short one I made so you all can see what a dialysis patient must endure every other day. If you know someone suffering from kidney disease let them know you understand their struggle a little better now.

  • It really makes me so sad to have to watch anyone go through this. I'm a young adult that is preparing to go into this field. I've been watching videos and studying the procedure but nothing is compared to what I will have to face with real patients in my care. My heart goes out to you and all who suffers with this. I only wish I could make the lives of the people going through this easier...but I can only lend a helping hand, open ears to listen, and a heartfelt conversation.

  • @YanPanChan you have such a kind heart! Wonderful you are going into the medical field. I am sure that your listening ear and conversation will be more help then you know!

  • This was really interesting. Thank you for sharing. I am a recent kidney donor (to a stranger) and I have a blog about my experience. I'm hoping to raise awareness about kidney donation...either living donation lke I did or at least get more people to sign their donor cards. I may post this video to my blog to help educate people on kidney disease. Thanks again!

  • @BestLaurenator thanks for your generous and compassionate act! I don't think I could ever accept an organ from anyone other then a stranger or the deceased. It would just be too weird for me at this point... You are soo brave and should know how wonderful it is for people like myself to know that people like yourself are out there! Thank you for all of your kindness.

  • @HappilyDayzed Hello, I would like to know how hard are the studies for the medical field. I am nearly there. Thank you.

  • Hey everyone in 15 years old and i have kidney disease and i havent been on dialysist yet but i was wondering what it feels like for all that blood to be going in and outa your body i dont mind needles or anything like that i get LP procedures alot please get back to me

  • Thanks

  • I don't understand why you're using lidocaine. It burns, that pain is worse than placing the needle without lidocaine. I ever did it myself, even when I was a 16 year old boy, and never used local anaestesia.

  • @MegaBanana34 I just read your response in a kidney dialsysis area. I'm so sorry about your

    mother.

I know how your feel, sad and terrible. I used to be on dialysis myself, and as for your mom,

she's most likely saddened by this, but I assure you that she will get used to it, and so will

you, it's going to be ok. I know it may still be painful for you and I'm so sorry for that,

but take it from someone who's been there, it's hard, but pray that she gets a kidney. Hang in there.

  • I'm writing to let you all know that I was once on dialysis and I know what you are going through, it's tough at times. I didn't get those 2 shots, never did, don't

know why that's happening in the video.

I just want to let everyone here know, it's ok, you will get through it,

and I do agree, it's a bitch sometimes to go through, but my only

suggestion is pray, and ask God to help you.

I had a chest acess and then a fistula, hang in there, it's going to be fine!

  • Any and all dialysis patients reading this: I'm a fellow patient, now 2 years on the machine. Like most patients, I go 3 days a week (Tues., Thurs., and Sat.), 3&1/2 hrs. per session. I just want you all to know that I totally empathize with you, and my heart and my prayers are with you. - Ken, in Waco, TX. :-)

  • :/

  • it makes me so sad
