INE is the powerful story about the essential bond between humans and animals told against the backdrop of one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history. MINE explores how tragedy intensifies that bond and is told from the perspective of original guardians, rescuers, and adoptive parents of the voiceless victims of Katrina.

@lupita645 you must not share your life with any pets otherwise you would understand that they are family too...

@eclark8804 because they had no choice, many of these people tried to bring their animals with them and they were refused shelter because of them.

Why would you leave 'the most important thing in your life' abandoned to die or survive on its own?

Ok so this movie seems good but i don't like that part about hurricane katrina rescues. they acted shocked that they didn't stop to also rescue the dogs.Of course they wouldn't, they need that time, space, and fuel to save human lives. It only logical that those rescuers would not waste space for pets that could be used to save a person instead. I'm not saying don't rescue the pets but is it really that shocking that the rescuers would put the people over the pets.

Geometry wasn't one of your strong points in school was it?

Nope that's a tangent, so let's rephrase the question
You posit that it is sad that people care about animals more than humans. Assuming you are correct in that assertion what is it about that situation that makes it sad?
What are the elements of that assertion, if true, that makes it tragic?
One last try.
