Artist Michael Mayhew developed this piece through a process of living in Russia and traveling through the seasons. Using the metaphorical and physical material of ice and transforming it back into water, we are able to transform something of ourselves.

Originally a solo performance this clip exhibits a group performance employing the same systems employed in the solo. Each artist was given a 132 kilo bloc of ice with an object that signified their lives. In the duration of 6 hours the aim is to release these object and so themselves.

This performance was presented in a derelict warehouse on the edge of Salford - England.
