  • Hi! thnx so much. sometimes it does not work to view the videos. and the audio is not working. plizz help......

  • @Gabpop1 What format video are you working with?

  • @vaasnaad i use mp4 and flv....

  • @Gabpop1 That's the problem - Cinelerra doesn't handle FLV or MP4. What I do for both these is use WinFF to convert them to MPG or DV depending on the resolution (720x480 NTSC goes to DV, any other resolution goes to MPG). WinFF is a GUI front end for ffmpeg and I'd go as far as saying it's absolutely indispensable! Looks like Lumeria (the new CV project) may have these features. An alpha .DEB package is available right now but I haven't messed with it yet.

  • Hmm..This looks a great tutorial so far, however, i can't seem to load my wmvs to the media section. It gives a message saying it's an unknown format. Any ideas on how to fix this?

  • @adizzycoin I am so lost! sorry for the delay, check out the reply to pos66666666 on converting to MPG

  • Im getting alot of codec errors for my files, even for the times when I can edit the video, the audio is usually a flatline, any idea wut may be causing this?

  • ROCKS! Thank You! Dig the humor!

  • @vaasnaad someone has made quicktime for cinelerra so that it can handle mp4. i haven't looked into this for a while (i've sadly been using windows lately) and i don't remember where it is hosted, but i am certain you can use it. it'd be much better than to change formats too often. if you're editing compressed video you are actually compressing the video 3 times (the initial compression, convert to mpg, then the final export).

  • All you're doing is anything you want to, without explaining how you did it. It's not a turotial, it's just a running commentary.

  • @vaasnaad Oh, and also, when i play the video in Cinelerra, for some reason it's sped up a lot, and theres no audio. Any idea why it might be doing this?
