precursor to the film noir genre. When Fritz Lang make movies like this, more than half of the world's population was illiterate!

great crime thriller, i still think critics seem to overblow allot of old movies(especially Citizen Kane)and undersell a lot of modern movies (especially from Directors such as Michael Mann/ Sergio Leone etc) but this is one of the old one that deserves it's acclaim.
