Color does not mean a film is better, nor does B/W. I agree that B/W photography is beautiful, but you have to remember that crap came out then, just as it comes out now. As with quality. It existed then, and it exists now. You can like gems such as this AND enjoy films such as Avatar without feeling inferior to the artsy film crowd. Films may not be the same as they were, but all we can do is share these gems with others and respect the work that goes into modern films.
