"Lahore Lahore Hai!" is the popular Urdu phrase often used to describe the grandeur of this lively city. Oddly enough though, the literal translation is "Lahore is Lahore!". Not that the cultural historian was being stingy with his vocabulary, nor that he did not have much to tell. In fact it is the opposite... and perhaps more convenient too, as one may end up writing volumes and volumes if one attempts to describe Lahore's sheer magnificence.
In this video, I have attempted to capture the essence of everyday life in dowtown Lahore, or what some may know as the walled city. I have focused on characters and their daily routine, many of their contributions that keep the societal systems running in this metropolis yet become so obscure in the fast paced life of the city. This has been my inspiration behind this first test shot video with my D90 cam. I hope you like it and i would welcome comments and positive criticism.
great... would've been nice if the description was included somehow in the video as text... explaining the motto behind it and an ending the leaves the viewer with a thought... good work nonetheless! love the sound track as well... didn't like the abrupt ending.
