Original composition using Reason and basic instrument patches: SoftPiano, Rhodes, Violins MF Lit, OrchestraStringPad. I don't really know how to use this program properly, so pls forgive the timing, every part was played in real-time.:)

I have really basic skills on the keyboard so I try to keep my compos very simple as this one is. The keyboards are repeated over 3-4 slight variations on strings. At about 1:50 mins the violins come in making it fuller and richer.

Love film music: Thomas Newman, Hans Zimmer, Philip Glass, Micheal Nyman...and many more. Other stuff I listen to: J S Bach, Elgar, Liszt, Tavener, Steve Reich, Max Richter, Signor Ros, M83, Kaki king, Jill Scott...loads more.

This is part of my Doodle Tunes, just doodles on keyboard with no specific thing in mind - more of a mood thing.

My first upload, hope you like it!

**Pls rate & tell me what you think.;-)**

  • Did You Record This Yourself With Audacity Or Did You Use A Program To Make All Of The Notes. Im Really Curious, I Have Been Trying To Make Music For Some Time Now But I Dont Have Anything To Record With And Every Program I Find Has Only MIDI Noises Can You Help Me?

  • Thanks Sean! I used Reason by Propellerheads. It's a virtual music studio but you also need a midi keyboard (sometimes called midi Controllers), I use M-Audios Evolution keyboard. Software was from a friend and came with some Soundbanks, basically collections of instrument sample type files that you use (usually called Patches). I have the Reason Factory Soundbank & Orkestra Soundbank. Software is bit pricey, if you can get a copy all the better, all you need is the keyboard. Hope this helps!;)

  • is this music your personal copyright?

  • Yes! I composed and made this music myself. Maybe I should make this clear on my uploads, hope nobody out there's thinking of being naughty...:p

  • dude you really should copyright it. if someone tries and claims it then you're pretty much sorted cos something this good is bound to get copied or stolen. this sounds brilliant!

  • Thanks mate! Thing is I haven't got a clue about copyrighting anything, so I wouldn't know where to start. Any advice would be great. Great channel btw;)

  • :-[ ]

    I had my jaws falling.

    Seriously.

It's just impressive, the piano and the strings wonderfully go together... and that part from 1:50 is breathtaking... really, really emotional!

The whole piece is a crescendo, that sounds like... a roaring river running to the sea!

5* of rating... and I'm adding this composition of yours to my favorites.

    Thank you for sharing! ^_^

  • Rip the audio from this video at searchripgrab doht cohm.

  • @Stopfollowingme646 Reading your comments in the format you have used is fucking irritating!

  • This is really great btw, I love it, amazing!

  • @Hopjumpskip Hey I know this is a really late answer to your question lol but the thing is, once you make something, the copyright immediately is owned by you. So you are the rightful owner right now unless you give someone that copyright, like you give them permission to use it, or you sell them the song with all the rights so that only they can use it and do watever they want with it etc

  • A cost effective way of copyrighting your matirial is to score it out on paper and post it to yourself. dont open the seal and it is a package then with the date on it. that way u can proove it was composed at that date ect ect...

  • See my composition !! /watch?v=j2sQ-aVWJDQ

  • @Hopjumpskip burn the project and mp3 to a cd and mail it to yourself, then don't open it unless proving the copyright (the postal date stamp acts as copyright)

that will copyright your music, good stuff.

    PS:check out my vids :D

  • @Hopjumpskip

to copyright it just save the project file and the mp3 on a disc and mail it to yourself, then never open it unless u need to prove the copyright, the postal date stamp acts as copyright xD ps:check out my vids
