This record, Victor 24735, reached #2 over a nine week run starting October 30, 1934. It was the only hit Coburn, an Eastern society bandleader, ever had. The vocalists: Harold Van Emburgh and Roy Strom.

@240252 I saw it at least twice in the past but I feel like seeing it again. Luckily, there is a NY library branch two blocks from my place, and it's free!

Hello Grzegorz - this vid is so fabulous in every way that it makes me smile the whole evening. I adore everything about Fred and Ginger - their great looks, their divine dancing and their versatile acting talents! All their movies are super entertaining and fun. This tune is a fast foxtrot - so Swing is also good! Thanks and a Big Hug!!!

I found that the Ink Spots played with Jolly Coburn and his orchestra on NBC-WJZ radio 11:30 PM on 3/18/35, 3/20/35, 3/27/35- and that this version peaked at #2 on the US charts in 1934-came out with a Vitaphone short film in 1936:-)

@patoman881 Thank you for that information. Corrie just wrote that J.Coburn made some recordings in 1937 also for Bluebird. Isn't ir surprising how little information has been left after a musician who apparently had outstanding talent, was an excellent arranger and had important music contacts (Ink Spots!). Sometimes, in two minutes you can find dozens of informations about a third-rate band from some remote corner of Europe from year 1900, and here - almost nothing!
