He has already blocked me, meaning that I am unable to make this a video response to his or contact him in any way. What a shame.

Saying that the Father, Son, and Holy spirit are simply three different "expressions" of God is heresy. An expression is an outward indication of something. The three persons of the trinity do not need to be outwardly indicated in order to exist. The three persons existed in eternity past, long before there were any humans to "express" anything to.

Likewise, saying that the three are different "aspects" of the being of God is heresy, because the being of God is not divided up in three parts, as the "aspects" idea of the trinity would indicate. God is not 1/3 Father, 1/3 Son, and 1/3 Holy Spirit. The three parts of the trinity are divisions of personhood, not of being or substance.

FUN FACT: From his favorites we can deduce that he is also a KJV onlyist. This fellow is just a barrel of monkeys, isn't he?

  • man you guys agree and yet disagree. It just the words you use.

I agree w/ neph, trinity should not be used as it is not used in the Bible. Same thing as using the word Rapture.

both those words are man made.

Father, Son, and Spirit (Ghost), are all 1 God of course but 3 different aspects of him in action.

Best analogy i can come up w/ atm:

You have Eyes, Legs, and Arms... each are for different purposes, but you are one, you are human. Same goes w/ God

there is no 3, only 1

  • I (and other historical Christians) view the three members of the Godhead as three eternally distinct persons. Nephilim views them as temporary manifestations of one person. He believes that Jesus was all three members of the Godhead incarnated in the flesh, whereas I believe that Jesus was only the son incarnated in the flesh. This is more than a matter of semantics, this is the nature of God we are talking about.

  • Well, actually the idea of the trinity came from the Roman Triumvirate, or three executives (three presidents) before JC (Julius Caesar) declared himself "god".

His proclaimed bona fides as a diety included the claim that he was born of a virgin, another aspect of Roman history which was transposed into the Christian myth.

  • Please. The Church Fathers who defined the doctrine of the trinity refused to betray the faith even under fierce torture. Do you think that they are going to import their ideas from the same pagan roman empire that they refused to compromise with, even when that empire cut off their limbs, ripped out their eyes, and fed them to lions?

Give me a quote from a direct source of pagan mythology that proves the connection you are claiming. Then I might begin to take you seriously.

  • @StutteringDave

I'm not talking about pagan mythology -- although some would argue that this multi-god idea is pagan by definition -- I am talking about THE ROMAN GOVERNMENT, dating back some 250 - 300 years BEFORE Christ, had a Triumvirate as the executive branch, or THREE PRESIDENTS, an idea that the early Christian church borrowed from.

Prior to this there is ZERO mention of God being in three parts in the Torah or in any other part of the Hebrew tradition. Z E R O.

  • The pagan mythology part was referring to the idea that Caesar was born a virgin. You failed to respond to my actual arguments for why Christians would not copy their ideas from the roman empire.

  • NephilimFree has condemned himself by saying that we do the work of Satan by preaching the trinity. This is blasphemy.

  • So can you please explain Matthew 3:16-17?

  • Hang on, Nephy......If I'm interpreting you correctly, you're saying that Jesus, who was known to pray publicly, was praying to himself? And when he died, did he commend his spirit to himself? And...to go a step further, when Jesus was baptised, did his own spirit descend on him in the form of a dove? Cummon, Nephy.....I thought you knew your religion a little better than that! So, in conclusion, you're not only an idiot in the area of science....but ALSO in Christian theology!

  • I believe that Neph is a modelist.

  • Interesting that if you look into anywhere in the Bible that depects a vision of God or Jesus in Heaven the are ALLWAYS shown as 2 individuals. and no where is seen the Holy spirit only the distinct two (.No 3 in 1 visions anywhere ), isn't that interesting!

Also the father sends or dispatches the Son and The Holy Spirit but nowhere is The father ever dispatched by anyone. People are filled with or given holy spirit. No one is given or filled with the Father or the Son.

  • Nephilimfree teaches annihilationism soul sleep, and KJV onlyism

    all three dumb ideas.

  • @Retardigion and he is armed... just to let you world know.

  • I think both you and this NephilimFree are both full of shit to be honest. And I'm not just being an asshole, you really are both full of it.

  • the Bible is clear... there are three PARTS... God the creator is untouchable... He chooses not to compromise his Holiness and cannot even see us in our filthiness. WE MUST, come to Him through his Son, who is God... He is part of God...not part of creation. That is the distinction when we talk about God, or incarnated Son, etc... we must be clear He is not part of creation. The Holy Spirit is the part of God that dwells within us if we accept Jesus...this is the simple plan laid out for us.

  • what is so funny or wrong about "KJV onlyist"? What translation do you follow and why do you believe it to be the word of God vs KJV?

  • Genesis 1.2, the Spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters... well here is "part of God" mentioned in the first chapter of the Torah. Also the Messiah was prophesied all through out the OT... We are straining at gnats and swallowing camels here. God chooses not to compromise his morals by viewing our filthiness through his Holy eyes, so he sent part of him down the Messiah to take on our sins and bring a means of forgiveness. The Bible clearly states "OF GOD".
