How to Attach a Resin BJD Head to a Dollfie Dream 2 Body

One of the oft-asked questions about the DD2 body is, "Can I attach a resin head to it? How?" And the answer, my friends, is yes.

There are several methods, my favorite -- and, in my personal opinion, the easiest -- being the "rubber-band method". Unfortunately, this method is really, really hard to explain via text, so...a video was born.

The head used in the example is Chiaki, my CP Juri 2005 head, and the DD2 body has the optional L-bust instead of the default (this makes no difference). AN IMPORTANT NOTE -- I CUT OFF THE DD2 NECK-STALK ABOUT HALFWAY DOWN. You do NOT need to do this -- it works perfectly well with the neck-stalk intact. I only did it because it was interfering with the abnormally-long stalks of her acrylic eyes.

The insert song is 'Barbie Girl', by Aqua, because 1) it was really boring just watching me stuff things up my doll's shoulder and 2) nobody wants to hear me cursing at a paperclip.

How come you have to go through all this trouble to attach the head to the body? Don't you just put the head on the neck, and then you're done?

The head is intended for a doll strung with elastic, so no. It makes it a little harder, but it does make for excellent posability. :D
