  • @gregboyds Then I submit you weren't placing your shots properly. Since I have no interest in mounts, Anything I hunt goes in the freezer, I always shoot them at the base of the skull. It's like turning off a switch, death is instantaneous and humane. Far faster than the lethal injections they give animals and criminals for that matter, to put them down, those take several minutes to work. If you chose to not hunt, fine, But don't generalize or attempt to vilify. Makes you look small.

  • @gregboyds congratulations on gaining a conscience, now lets work on a brain. A standard whitetail deer heart/lung shot behind the shoulder lives for an average of 7 seconds after being shot. The fact that you had to trail it for 100 yards is just evidence of what a powerful animal these deer are. The suffering is no more than a throat cut animal at a slaughter house which suffocates on its own blood before expiring. Educate yourself before trying to do so for others.

  • @roperboy56 Yes, but you do shoot animals, as you just admitted to. It is extemely rare that an animal dies immediately and without pain. They always suffer first. I know, I also used to hunt, since I was a child, until I gave it up because of conscience. Animals killed in slaughter-houses die immediately. That is the difference. If you are hunting with a gun or bow, then you are by definition, causing suffering to living animals before they die. Maybe your conscience can live with that, not me.

  • @gregboyds not all hunters make their animals suffer i personally hunt for meat i am also big into conservation i support many orginazations such as pheasants forever ducks unlimited rocky maountain elk foundation ect. i live off of wild game mat and that is soley it;.

  • I woulda shot it :)
