  • anyone here who knows a service center (except HP) in the Philippines for this kind of problem...i really wanna have my unit fixed...sayang naman kasi...

  • I have the same problem with my hp vd6149eu :(

The issue here is the soldering of the nVidia graphic chip. I turn on the laptop, have the "beeps" and then have to wait 20min so the contacts on the chip heat up and make "connection".After that turn off and then turn on and it works properly...but for me hp no more

  • I just don't know how long my laptop will last until it totally fries itself. Anyway, I already bought an ASUS. Much better than HP. Also comes with 24 months global warranty.

  • i think those beeps means something like you need to clear the CMOS.... one of my friends tried to overclock his ram and ended up blackscreening and then getting similar beeps (ofc this was on a desktop, not a laptop)

  • i've already tried that. the real problem here is the nVidia graphic chip. the laptop is still functioning, if you are just patient enough to try turning it on numerous times until the display properly works

  • well this is just GPU problem..its because of overheating..generally there is dust in the vent after almost an year..so laptop starts heatin up..and gpu connector balls melts..

well there r many solution other than just changing the motherboards....like reballin the gpu..or just try heatin it up for temp solution...i also hav dv 6000 n now its gonna be 3rd year..i had same problem atmost at the end of 2nd year..my laptop was under warranty so got the motherboard replaced..

  • A relative of mine bought HP DV2550ee and has identical symptoms. After consulting the HP site, I found out it's not covered by the HP Limited Warranty Service Enhancement. What a shame. All HP DV2xxxxx series have same faulty Nvidia vedio adapter, yet HP is only fixing a small portion of laptobs. Wake up guys. We should boycot HP until they fix our laptobs. Our hard earned money did not come so easy. So HP should respect that.

  • HP Pavillion dv9620 (9500) with Nvidia graphics,, doesn't run my video programs or see my optical drive,, keeps crashing my computer.. HP says,, oh, you are out of waranty, take it back to where you bought it, then Staples trys to tell me that if it's an HP problem, they wont fix it under my warranty I purchased from them for $200 !! My computer keeps trying to load the drives, but they aren't seeing the drive, but the drive works, I've tried deleting BIOS, reseating, etc.. I'm screwed!

  • Same problem here, Pavilion dv2000t. NVidia GeForce Go 7200. Sometimes I get it to come on after it warms up with a quick off, and back on again. If you are lucky you can back up your stuff. Mine is just under two years old! Disappointing to say the least.

  • same problem with the HP Pavilion dv9232eu. Got the 1 time repair and it fried itself again! Not on the magic list, warranty expired. Is the MB stuffed or do I just replace the video card. Anyone know what other cards are compatable? The card WAS a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600

    HP sux

  • My laptop does EXACTLY this. It's now two years and 3 months old.

Hewlett & Packard Pavilion DV6000 (DV6158EU HP Pavilion Entertainment PC).

I have contacted HP Customer Support but they haven't replied yet.. I assume that they're going to try to charge me like 400 euros for the fix =(

  • exact same problem with my HP laptop. JUUUUST out of warranty and SCREWED!

    Pavilion dv2200 is mine.

HP is SO going down with this kind of product!

  • the same problem with:

    dv2224ea

    RY395EA#ABU

  • don't care Hp is the 2º best pc ever! and apple
