Coach Leo - www.beRIPPED4life.com -- I recently uploaded a video about late night snacks and this recipe is one of my absolute favorite ones. It is a combination I put together using fat free cottage cheese, Shakeology, peanut butter and whey protein. It is loaded with protein and it is absolutely delicious, not to mention that it makes for an outstanding late night snack preventing muscles from going catabolic overnight. • why do you use protein powder for this? don't you get enough protein from the cottage cheese and peanut butter by itself?

  • @17thwonder I add whey because the chocolate flavor and the Shakeology together tastes so freaking good. It is like eating a bowl of Reeses!

  • This "treat" would be great to mix with Greek yogurt instead of cottage cheese. I tried what you said to put cottage cheese mixed with tuna on a sanwhich, it was delicious. I'm hoping that my following your 2000 calorie a day diet will be enough for me to gain muscle mass throughout my p90x 90 days. I'm 5'10 and very lean. Thank you for all the help.

  • @markblaster30 Glad you like the recipe. Let me know about your progrsss. I'd love to hear how the program and diet are working out for you.

  • @BeRipped4life

What are you having as a recovery drink? And do you sometimes substitute your dinner and drink a protein shake instead?

  • @Sooners4ever25 I don't typically have a protein drink for dinner. Dinner time is family time for me. As far as recovery drink, I use Beachbody's mostly.

  • @Beripped4life Whey has no side effects unless you are severely lactose intolerant. You can mix it up with fruit and blend it together as a healthy morning shake or after intense workouts Make sure you factor in your calories so you substitute, not add calories

  • @Beripped4life thanks for answering my question- so then i should take it? and per serving how many calories is in the one you have? cause i would have to add that into my day. so it doesn't have any fat in it?are there any side effects that u know of?

  • @iLOSEiSHRINK Whey protein is the most widely used supplement and it is useful if you are trying to maintain a diet rich in protein. About 20% of women do not take the minimum amount of protein a day. If you are exercising, you need protein as a building block to make muscle and get toned. Some people find it difficult to get enough protein and whey powder is easy on the budget, low cal, and convenient. Another fantastic supplement is Shakeology which has 70 plus healthy ingredients.

  • Coach, im female and i see women drink whey protein but i dont know the reasoning behind them drinking it. is there a reason i should if i work out 5 days a week? also, i hear of others that take performance enhancers or supplements but i dont take anything. i dont know if i should or not? what is ur opinion on this? please help.
