More learn Welsh stuff to help get by in Wales. If you plan on going to Yr Wyddgrug (Mold) next week (4th - 11th August) for the Eisteddfod then these would be handy. If you don't speak Welsh that is. If you're not planning on going to the Eisteddfod... plan on it now! Go!

  • How often do you use this language in real life? As in, could you walk into a store in Wales and ask how much something is (in Welsh), would you be replied to in the language or looked at as if you were an idiot?

  • My whole degree is taught through the medium of Welsh, and it is the language of choice where I work. Nobody in Wales would look at someone as if they were an idiot for speaking Welsh.... unless they were ignorant suppose!

The further west you go into Wales, the more Welsh you'll find

  • medi= september,

  • It sure does :)

  • what a strange language...good video, but i think it would've been better if the welsh parts were a little slower.

  • Diolch

  • For crying out loud, sit still and speak up, young man! I think you had the right idea, but a very poor presentation.

  • Is he stoned?

  • Nid wyf yn hoffi coffi.

  • Your accent is brilliant! Is it your second language?

  • stecymru is right, the further west you go, the more widely welsh is spoken. Welsh is the chosen language in the area where I live in wales, Lleyn here, the majority speak fluent welsh and english. May i also add, if you live in a welsh speaking area of wales, you'll get treated better if you speak welsh. the locals will tend to treat you as someone they know, as many welsh first language speakers find it much easier to speak welsh with you. as the same in any county

  • oh lord, your speaking wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too quick to even hear what your saying in welsh. slow it right down and try again for us none welsh speakers =]

  • Is he stoned?

  • Diolch yn fawr, dysgwr dwi, rhaid i fi defnydio...sy'n siarad cymraeg yma?

  • y nain yn byw ym Mhorthmadog a fi yn rhaid i siarad Cymraeg wrth i fynd ac ymweld

  • do it again, speak up, slow down the welsh parts, and dont be stoned next time

  • i live in america and i'm almost half welsh, trying to learn the language. Very interesting and somewhat difficult. This kid looks a little stoned.
