  • I feel touched by your reading of my article.

There are some errors in punctuation of your rendition, most importantly: it was not Nietzsche but Jesus that was crucified. Also Nietzsche’s rivalry with Christ was unconscious.

Still, I am mesmerised by the musicality and poignancy of your voice...

I appreciate your correction of my misinterpretation of your writing. It's sometimes difficult to fully comprehend the scope of what's being said in brief articles in Philosophy Now, but I was very intrigued by your piece, and I'm looking forward to reading your book when it's published. Thanks for watching.

  • I'm glad folks are still talking about Fred, but to be honest, he wasn't all that original in what he said. For some reason people paid attention to him and still do. So only Fred could have been who he was, even though he'd been born a thousand times before and since... so to speak. Nietzsche, what the fuck?

  • like to see that there are other channels still around from YT's past, so it was good to have your comment. I don't hold the same views you do about the good old lonely iconoclast, but differences of opinions on the merits of philosophers isn't anything new. We're not the first not to have different views on past thinkers and we won't be the last.

  • @2bsirius its good to hear your videos, I haven't been around much lately, I've a LOT to catch up on. You always provide great fuel for the philosophical fire! Cheers!!

  • @lapisredux Arrgh! Okay.

  • I am reading Zarathustra now. I'm inclined to agree with Jaspers that Nietzsche saw himself in competition with Christ, showing that Nietzche was unable to think beyond the messianic model.

  • Camus identified the problem w/ Nietzche when he said that the problem w/ him is not that he was a Nazi but that much of teachings were too amenable to Nazi thought.

  • @slobomotion you must unsubscribe and then re-subscribe to rectify the problem

  • i was wondering 2bsirius, if Nietzsche had been american would he have been taken as seriously?
