Eagles Release Brian Westbrook

The Eagles released Brian Westbrook Tuesday. The 30-year old led the NFL in yards from scrimmage in 2007. He was due $7.25 million next year. Westbrook missed eight games last season with a pair of concussions and an ankle injury. (Feb. 23)

i really don't know anything about football but i heard he's one of the most underrated players in the nfl.

@DaKidVT i think he should get a 3year contract only becuz of his age...if we DO 5 years then okay but he is 30 and although he is playing lights out it can all stop bearing any SERIOUS injury so 3 years imo is good

@FireChidori Well i can tell you only want to bash Kevin Kolb as if he lead us into a 4-12 Season or something hes done nothing wrong to the fans hes a great guy and still continues to support vick through everything hes been through i just dont see why hes treated so badly.

@DaKidVT yeah no one was open.. meanwhile vick went 5/7 against washington before he got hurt, and destroyed washington in one of the best games for a quarterback ever played a couple of weeks later.
