  • @tubedepottv and is that soldering iron made in Australia? I think it is we have them at school :)

  • @AidanzAnimations ... it is a soLdering iron in Australia ... in the US, the "L" is silent, therefore it comes out as sod_ering. Thankfully, both irons function exactly the same.

  • @TubeDepottv I'm Australian and we don't say lieutenant with an f?! What are you talking about? Anyways there just different ways of pronouncing things if you guys know what he means then what's the problem? :) calm about pronunciation, it's not worth WWIII

  • @AidanzAnimations - dang, I thought the Australians added an "F" to lieutenant as well. My bust, that must be only the UK. Funny that this argument regarding the pronunciation for solder has come up several times in my various videos. We all understand what is happening. A metal alloy is being melted to join two components together to from an electrical connection.

  • You may be able to teach people how to do this better, but dude, you expect me to listen to you as a self-proclaimed expert when you can't even pronounce "solder"???? I'm sure you know what you're doing, but it's pronounced "soLdering", not "soddering"! Is your Father "odder" than you? No, he's "older". Does your fridge make things "codder"? No. Just remember, older, folder, colder, holder, SOLDER! Now you know

  • @Slidinsidewayz2009 - and there is no "f" lieutenant, why do you continue to say "lef-ten-ənt"? Australia, like the USA have alternate ways of English pronunciation peculiar to their individual locals. "Solder" in the USA, is pronounced with the "L" silent. Where as In the UK as in Australia, the "L" is pronounced. It is the same thing.

  • @TwoDogsX2 - it is only a difference in colloquial pronunciations. Both pronunciations are correct ... depending on where one if from. Thankfully, you found it easy to understand the meaning, which is the ultimate point. Hopefully, the content of the video was helpful to you, if not my accent.

  • @MrSandydillon - don't be so hard on yourself, we all start as "dumb-ass" types ... just ask our older relatives.

  • Good lesson for us dumbass types

  • @jazzhands144 - The amp in the background is my Fender "silverface" Deluxe Reverb.

  • Is that a sliverface fender amp?
