@chevycarl He won the National Flatpicking Championship at the age of 18. I realize you said "he wasn't a slouch" but the word "slouch" shouldn't even be uttered in a description of him. He put out a solo guitar album in the 70's with Tony Rice and made Tony, frankly and honestly, look like a beginner....when he was only 18 and when Rice was considered the best flatpicker in the world at the time. Mark has a habit of making the best look second rate.
