  • @rizzdog Well said sir, I'm with you all the way on that. All anyone has to do is listen to Harrison's solo. The man could wail on guitar.

  • A prefatory comment: DP is my favorite band and Blackmore is my favorite guitarist. That said, I am amazed by a few of the comments that indicate that George Harrison cannot "hold his own" on stage with Deep Purple. It's utter nonsense. George Harrison is among one of the greatest songwriters and a fabulous musician. One of the most amazing thing about George's playing is his restraint.

  • wow didn't know Gillan could scream in the 80's

  • well @aert88 they may be nice people an all but I won't buy their lps. They got stadiums full of morons that have done that. From what I heard/saw, their songs are mediocre at best. Yes they sell millions and they may be much better than say david guetta, bruno mars or lil wayne but they are still overrated.

  • I really wish I could shriek like Ian Gillan whenever I wanted.

  • @Nechepsos you're an asshole for saying the chili peppers are shit!! there may be assholes who likes them but they're a great band, listen to their complete albums and enjoy it you piece of shit : )

  • This must be 1985, as that's when Purple reformed

  • Don't you know Gillan wanted to punch Blackmore out MANY times over the years. What restraint! But I think Blackmore is terrific guitar player - don't get me wrong.
