The rethuglican mantra in congress these days has become just "freeze spending" even though all evidence points to there being way too much supply and very little demand because of severe credit limitations and fear of job loss. Rachel Maddow talks to the very lovely Ana Marie Cox about how the current minority party is channeling Herbert Hoover and his policies which they seem to have forgotten led to the Great Depression almost a century ago.

  • Yeah, Obama now supports McCains ideas...wonder why that is.

    Oh yeah, he's a liar

  • Liberals always have a reason to take more of our money so they can spend it as they see fit. If the economy is bad, they tell us they must spend more money in order to stimulate the economy. When the economy is good, they tell us we have a moral obligation to let them spend more of our money.

  • The fuck does that mean?

  • the sexual tension between anna-marie and rachel is totally palpable, by the way. i think the cooling fan came on my computer just watching this.

  • teaching non-native english speakers how to argue with conservatives? i dunno, but it's pretty funny.
