@TheFree33333 Strelok isn't killed. Though it is a shitty ending for everyone who isn't Strelok, the surviving stalkers of Clear Sky are reprogrammed to fight for the monolith faction, however, Strelok's memory is wiped.

This is where the C-Consciousness made it's mistake. It had thought Strelok had survived the emission and escaped, and they wiped the memory of one stalker and sent him out to kill him. Little did the C-Consciousness know, that stalker was Strelok. Begin Shadow of Chernobyl.
