  • Apparently that's why they didn't make too many locos like this, not enough traction from the 2 pr of driving wheels. Lots of skill needed to control the steam pressure though !

  • The 100mph barrier was broken by 3440 in 1904 actually. But it's debatable if it really managed it. Lovely engine though.
